The Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation, to strengthen cooperation in the fields of career guidance, professional development, and capacity building.

The MoU was signed by Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of QFSW, and Saad Abdulla Al-Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, during a ceremony hosted at Education City.

The agreement establishes a framework for strategic collaboration, combining QFSW’s mission of supporting and empowering civil society organizations and enhancing their societal impact with QCDC’s expertise in career guidance, career development, and capacity building.

Under the MoU, the two organizations will collaborate to design and deliver specialized training programs and workshops for QFSW employees and its affiliated centers, while also developing career guidance and professional development initiatives tailored to the needs of the Foundation’s beneficiaries. These initiatives will focus on strengthening career readiness, developing professional skills, and supporting sustainable career pathways.

The partnership will also include the provision of career advisory services and technical expertise in areas such as training needs analysis, skills assessment, career pathway design, and policy and strategy development. In addition, both parties will exchange knowledge and best practices, co-develop awareness materials, and collaborate on conferences, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and training programs. A joint committee will oversee the implementation of the agreement, monitor progress, and address any challenges that may arise.

Commenting on the signing, Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of QFSW, said:

"This MoU marks an important step in strengthening institutional cooperation in career guidance, professional development, and capacity building. It will contribute to developing national competencies and enhancing the quality of services delivered through QFSW’s affiliated centers. By working together, we will exchange expertise and implement joint initiatives that strengthen workforce readiness and empower the communities we serve, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country's sustainable social development goals."

For his part, Saad Abdulla Al-Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, said:

"This partnership with QFSW reflects our belief that career development is not only a service for individuals, but also a vital tool for strengthening institutions and expanding their social impact. By combining QCDC’s expertise in career guidance and capacity building with QFSW’s important role in supporting civil society organizations, we aim to equip more people with the knowledge, skills, and guidance they need to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to Qatar’s future."

The signing of the MoU reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to advancing human capital development, promoting career readiness, and supporting the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
